Tiny update of tininess. Really tiny.
Have not forgotten about blanket (duh), but the month of slacking is over. February came and brought the start of Nerd Wars Tournament 7. Challenges! Dissertation proposals! Deadlines for birthday gifts!
After two rather hectic weeks things have calmed down a bit again. Have two weeks to spend on the dissertation and the second block. Went to Belgium last weekend and the drive there is an excellent time to knit. Crafting in the car (almost) makes me forget my fear of car driving and this is a most excellent thing to do on the road. Trip there and back again gave me 40 happy rows of Arryn blue. Yay!
Also gives me some heads up in regards of how long it takes for me to knit the blocks. About 10 rows/hour. Sounds awfully slow imho. But well, this isn't undistracted knitting. One block equals twelve hours of knitting. And then there's the duplicate stitching, which I have no idea off.
Also. Yarn store did not forget about me. The skein of green (teehee!) that was in backorder arrived yesterday. Relief.
More happy news. I bought a yarn winder. Which will be a great help when I turn all those skeins into balls (cakes! Nomnomnom. Inside yarn jokes ftw). Oh and a drop spindle. Which will not be a great help. More distractions!
